Speed is the Key

The outstanding performance of our Seal boards in the surf has obviously raised the bar for us. This was forcing us to be very demanding in our new Concept Wave board development and, we set ourselves the objective to design highly manoeuvrable but also much faster shapes, for a different, aggressive, approach of the waves.

Shape

Their semi-compact and balanced outline has been pinched in a round pin-tail aft.
These new boards have down and thin rails; this is particularly emphasized in the aft part of the board.
The volume is adequately balanced from the foot-straps to mast-track, while decreasing fast at both ends.
A double concave right under your feet comes boosting the curved scoop-line.

On the Water

Our Concept Wave boards shine by their very high speed for a wave board. Moving across the spot, re-placing on the wave, going upwind, surfing, everything is achieved faster.
Onshore, side-shore, offshore, the Concept Wave boards potential will surprise you.
Their surfs are slashing.

With the single fin option, our new Concept Wave shapes allow you to pivot the board right under your aft foot.
You will then be able to vary your curves and tailor them to each wave, without any back-firing on performance or balance. In that configuration your Concept Wave is a very nervous board.

With the thruster option, stability will prevail; this is the optimal configuration for perfect surfing conditions. Still, your thruster Concept-Wave will retain an amazing speed potential.

Les performances de la Seal au surf nous ont rendu particulièrement exigeant sur le développement de nos nouvelles Concept Wave. Notre objectif pour ce programme fût alors de créer les shapes de vagues les plus maniables, mais aussi les plus rapides du marché.

Le shape:

L’outline est équilibré et moyennement compact, assez pincé en round pin tail sur l’arrière. Les rails sont couchés et fins, particulièrement sur l’arrière du flotteur. La répartition de volume est équilibrée des Footstraps jusqu’au au pied de mat, plongeant rapidement sur les extrémités. Un double concave sous la zone des pieds vient booster un scoop bien courbe.

Sur l’eau :

Les Concept Wave sont dotées d’une vitesse très élevée pour des flotteurs de vagues. L’évolution sur le plan d’eau, le replacement, la remontée au vent, les surfs, tout est rapide. On shore, side shore, off shore, leur potentiel est énorme. Les surfs sont incisifs.

En option single, le shape autorise des pivots sous le pied arrière.Il est alors possible de varier les courbes pour s’adapter à la vague, sans perturber la performance ou l’équilibre. Le flotteur est nerveux. En Thrusters, c’est la stabilité qui prédomine, idéale dans les conditions de surf parfaites. La vitesse du flotteur en Thrusters n’en demeure pas moins surprenante.
